Service Description
REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN + SPACES LIMITED!! Come "hang" with your local faeries in this new, unique + spicy twist on 2 familiar activities - aerial yoga combined with a monthly adults-only book club! Enrich your mind and body as we take to the air in our silk hammocks for some low-impact stretching and decompression, all while sharing our weekly reflections on each month's community read. Based on community input, our upcoming reading selection for June will be: "The Ladies of the Secret Circus" by Constance Sayers A magical story spanning from Jazz Age Paris to modern-day America of family secrets, sacrifice, and lost love set against the backdrop of a mysterious circus. Paris, 1925: To enter the Secret Circus is to enter a world of wonder—a world where women weave illusions of magnificent beasts, carousels take you back in time, and trapeze artists float across the sky. Bound to her family's circus, it's the only world Cecile Cabot knows until she meets a charismatic young painter and embarks on a passionate affair that could cost her everything. Virginia, 2004: Lara Barnes is on top of the world until her fiancé disappears on their wedding day. When her desperate search for answers unexpectedly leads to her great-grandmother’s journals, Lara is swept into a story of a dark circus and ill-fated love. Soon secrets about Lara’s family history begin to come to light, revealing a curse that has been claiming payment from the women in her family for generations. A curse that might be tied to her fiancé’s mysterious disappearance. All aerial hammock equipment and instruction will be provided during class. It is the student's responsibility to obtain a copy of the designated reading material, and they may choose from any preferred format (physical copy, digital download i.e. e-reader, audiobook, etc.) Copies of the book are available at most public libraries and major retailers. All students who register will receive a communication from the instructor a minimum of (5) days prior to the start of the class session with the upcoming week's chapter reading benchmark. You do NOT need to have previously read the book in order to join in for some magical aerial yoga hangs; open to those who are familiar with the reading material AND for those who are brand new! NOTE: This class is limited to ages 18+ due to the mature nature of some themes.
